Welcome, I’m Jennifer!

I am passionate about helping you move from surviving to thriving.

I am confident that I can help you achieve your relational and mental health goals. I specialize in working with grief, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-worth, relationship hiccups, friendship/support system challenges, and a myriad of other life curveballs.

I primarily work from cognitive behavior therapy because thoughts control so much of our lives, but I tailor therapy to you. Emotional regulation, acceptance therapy, solutions based work, and dialectical behavior are just a few options that I pull from to make therapy work for you. I will affirm you and challenge you in a warm, judgement free, environment to be the best version of you.

Did you know…

Fun facts about the journey to become your counselor.

I recognized in my teenage years that I had a passion for mental health and relational health. I began my path to psychology and counseling out of high school, but my life took a turn to an almost decade long career in banking and leadership. During this time I met and married my junior college sweetheart.

In the throes of raising small children, I began to mentor individuals and couples to help increase mental and relational health in my community. I soon returned to finish the degree I started years prior.

I earned a BS in Psychology and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LeTourneau University. I began my clinical experience working in a partial inpatient setting providing individual, group, and family counseling to people suffering hard challenges.

I have been married to my junior college sweetheart for over 19 years. We have two teenagers and two beautiful golden retrievers who will (hopefully) join me in the therapy room soon. In my free time I like to write, teach, and go to the beach.
